Which stage comes first in the twin flame connection?

I know that it is obvious that the bubble love phase is the initial stage — the first moment you both acknowledge each other. But, if I may interest you in another perspective.

I don’t know if other twin flames experienced this but it happened to me. Now that I look back, the bubble love phase was not the first — it was the Awakening that happened to me before I ever knew that I would meet a twin flame.

The connection to a twin flame has always existed within you for lifetimes before the encounter — this is why it feels like you have known this person all your life even though it’s your first time meeting him or her. You keep wondering deep within how and where you know that person. That’s called uncanny familiarity. It’s like you have lived a lifetime before with them.

And most importantly, you have an imminent knowing that the connection is eternal — it will always exist because you naturally feel connected to each other.

Here is the reason why I believe that the Awakening phase is the first one:

Before I met my twin flame, I went through a soul-searching phase. I was not looking for a divine partner or a twin soul. I was looking for myself.

I craved to feel in touch with my inner child. I felt dissatisfied with everything that I did. I wanted to find a deeper meaning to my existence. I deeply desired to have a purpose in my life. I felt incomplete and I had no idea why.

I was not a spiritual person — I hadn’t realized back then that it was an Awakening. I tried to read religious scriptures. I attended spiritual retreats and other fellowships hoping to fill the void that I felt within.

I was surrounded by many people who adored me. My business was doing great and I was happy in my relationship but I still felt lonely.

I knew that I had a suffering inner child. I deeply needed to hug my inner child but I had core wounding that I didn’t know how to heal. I was not in love with myself and I felt stuck. I didn’t know how to change and transform.

Then a year or so later, my twin flame walks into my life unannounced. That was the day when my life changed forever.

Our initial encounter was the trigger of my full-on accelerated spiritual awakening. He showed me ways to make my life and myself better. Most of all, he inspired me to find the authentic version of myself. As all this was happening, our connection was evolving as well.

The best part of it all is that I never felt alone after that even though we are physically separated. I feel him with me every waking day.
